"After check in we were advised that we were in “The Residence” section of the hotel. Upon entering we were greeted by filthy carpeted stairs leading up to our room. On opening the door we were then met by a vile smell…the room had clearly not been used/aired for some time. The carpet was covered in stains, the bed frame fabric was ripped, a freestanding chair was also covered in stains. All this before inspecting the bathroom….disgustingly dirty. "Great, basic place to stay. I have only ever stayed one night. The gardens are lovely and I particularly like that you can walk to the Plough through the fields (and back via road if dark). Also Blue Diamond garden centre 5 min walk away too. Cambridge park and ride 5 mins in other direction. No breakfast available at Hotel any more. Check in at 4.00pm perhaps the only negative."

"not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent"

"Worst experience ever. Don’t be fooled by the Ramada name,it’s at best a one star hotel. No air conditioning at all, it was 30 degrees in June and they provided a single desk fan for five of us. It was evident from the certificates and photos around the place that it had been a hotel & restaurant of note with award winning credentials. It isn’t a shiny glitzy hotel but equally the decor was quite tired and patched up in places.
