"A lovely find in a convenient location. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do more to accommodate us and our dog. The room was clean and tidy and had everything you need for a short stay. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed the stay. Thank you 😊"

"Steve at checkin was excellent. Room 1 was very tired. Photographs didn’t highlight how tired the room was. Breakfast was disappointing after reading such highly rated reviews. No cereal or fruit on display Though very tasty had only 1 rasher of overcooked bacon. Accompanying toast was rock hard. "

"Spacious room. The bathroom was also spacious with a good walk in shower. The meal we had in the restaurant was very nice and breakfast (you need to order the night before) was also very good."

"Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"Room was dirty, scuffed paintwork, stained carpet, skirting boards thick with grime and dust, cobwebs and dead bugs (in the cobwebs) on the ceiling. Not to mention the previous guests dirty towels and sheets were left in a heap in the middle of the floor. At £200 per night excluding breakfast I expect much much better. Very disappointing."
