Lovely room in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately I was taken ill and had to leave early before breakfast as I needed to get to urgent care in Berwick for medication, for a Chest Infection. But would recommend based on my experience of the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse: quiet bucolic location, handsome and spotless, well-maintained house, We stayed in the Tweed room which was spacious and had everything we needed (including an excellent high pressure shower!). Peter and Sheila were great hosts and cooked breakfast to order each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Would happily return!

Peter and Sheila were wonderful hosts. They gave us ideas of where to eat and places to see. Breakfast was very good and enjoyable with them providing information about the area. If we return to the Northumberland area we will definitely return there to stay again.

Sheelah & Peter are extremely pleasant and helpful. The spacious house are lovely and extremely quiet. The breakfasts are excellent in the large beautiful dining room. The surrounding countryside is spectacular (drive north on nearby Devil’s Causeway and look west to the Cheviots in the late evening, but be careful of the hares on the road.) The rooms are spotless, the beds very comfortable, the showers bliss, the rates excellent. We hope to return. The hosts’ recommendations for evening meals were spot on: Milan in Wooler and The Black Bull in Lowick (although be wary about short pints there — I had to remind the barman twice! The venison loin there and haddock were excellent though 😋).

This has been my favourite UK staycation! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The rooms were clean and have everything you need with a few extra touches like dressing gown, heaters/hot water bottle and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast was soo tasty! The location is perfect and not too far from everything..lovely views of cheviot hills. I have nothing negative to say...it was the perfect stay! Thank you! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Northumberland!

East Horton is one of the nicest guest houses we have stayed in Peter & Sheila made us so welcome and could tell you any information about the local area The house is in a beautiful location looking out onto the Cheviot Hills. Will certainly stay here again

We had a lovely stay. The guest house is right out in beautiful countryside, no noise, no light pollution. Our room had lovely views to open countryside. Breakfast freshly cooked and is really nice. We would happily stay here again. Lovely hosts.
