"Straight from the off the staff were so friendly & helpful (all staff appeared to multi-task, one minute booking guests in, then serving drinks, putting luggage in luggage room. Our rooms were beautifully clean, the beds comfortable & pillows nice & soft, just as I like them. The hotel was busy but wonderfully peaceful. Our breakfast was amazing - a wonderful selection of cereals, fresh fruits, dried nuts & seeds plus two types of yoghurt. There were meats & cheeses & Danish pastries. For those preferring a cooked breakfast there were enough items to make up a full English. Lots of different fresh breads to toast. There was fresh flavoured water & cordials & a great variety of teas & coffee. On checkout the receptionist took our bags off us to store & also booked a taxi to the station for us. Couldn't have asked for a better stay & we'll definitely be back 👍"

"This is a lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay here. The only reason I’ve given a 4* not a 5* review is that there were no accessible parking spaces available on the Saturday evening when we returned for the night, as wedding guests had chosen to park there without blue badges. Not the hotel’s fault, but they did nothing about it. Our room was great - the accessible shower had a chair rather than the drop down seat I often find in accessible bathrooms. A chair feels safer. The room was big enough to turn my scooter round so that I could drive forward out of the room rather than have to reverse. The staff were very friendly."

"Excellent location, really close to the station and just over the bridge from the city centre. Good breakfast, including the 'trademark' waffle maker. We were in a wheelchair accessible room that was spacious but the bathroom had incomplete grab rails and a slightly strange design that would make it much harder for an independent wheelchair user to use the shower - ask for photos before you book to check it will meet your needs."

"Toilet made a terrible noise when refilling, room next door's toilet made the same noise which could be heard through the walls. On site parking was very expensive at £19 a day. Staff were great. Rooms were very pricey."
