The service from the staff was very good: friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a lot to choose from. The room was a bit small for a familyroom in a hotel with 4 stars. Also warm. The parking was in the weekend full so we had to spend 28 pound for a parkingticket.

Parking is marketed as available rather than included . It’s not included and may not be available. You only discover this once booked. it’s first come basis and £12.50 a day extra. A queen/king bed is just two beds pushed together in the family room. The bathroom was tired looking and the hot water was at scolding level for both kids and adults. The eye masks were needed , as the room was on the road and the curtains didn’t close properly and bright lights outside on 24/7. The kids pack was a nice touch and the little vip gown to wear as were the fridge items. Staff were friendly and it’s a great location. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar facilities so can’t comment.

Theatre trip

Lovely hotel. Warm welcome. Nice touches (White Company toiletries, fresh milk and comfy dressing gowns) and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good overall but the poached egg overcooked. Second time at this hotel would return.

This was a convenient place for us to stay for all we wanted to do on our visit. A short walk from the station and close to the city centre. The original part of the building is very interesting from a local history perspective.

The breakfast staff and food was lovely however felt a little overlooked as a younger couple through the stay. The photos were a little misleading regarding the rooms, they looked modern and well decorated online and the room we got was quite dirty and very outdated, however the location and outdoor area meant we enjoyed our stay, wouldn’t say it’s worth the price.

Weekend sightseeing break

Nice long weekend trip with family. Good location, spacious room and friendly staff. Pretty outdoor areas. Enjoyed the tapas meal although it did take a long time to arrive and then we were given the wrong bill. Other than that, a lovely stay and would be happy to return

Didn’t get off to the best start with our bathroom been dirty, pointed out to the manager and clearly could see mould and grime around toilet and shower. Was sorted in end and got moved to a better room. Car park is hit and miss with spaces to park.
