"The room was very clean and we even got a surprise upgrade to a triple bedroom which allowed us to have more space. It had everything you needed from a fan to toiletries to housekeeping on request. The lady who looked after us was lovely and even let us check in a little early as we arrived earlier than planned. She greeted us warmly each day and explained everything we would need. Everyone we spoke to was welcoming and it only took a few minutes walk before we were in the heart of the city...

"The Burton Stone Inn was super clean and a very cute property! The outside terraces were well set up and our room was great. The staff was very friendly and attentive when any issues came up! Bathroom was renovated and the shower was awesome! Very convenient location for sight seeing and places to eat! Would Definitely stay again! Thanks to Michael and staff!"

"The hotel was well-situated in the centre of York. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. There were a few small cobwebs around the base of some of the room furniture and the shower room had a stale smell on arrival, which could be associated with the shower not being used, or if the water in the shower trap is siphoned out by water flow from other showers."

"First visit to York; we stayed at Clementine's for two nights. We were able to check in hours before the official check in time of 4pm which was great. Our room was immaculate. The decor of the guest house is amazing, every room is just exquisite! Every need is catered for and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location of guest house is really convenient too, it's an approximate 10 min walk to the shops/City Walls. We've had that best time in York and our stay at Clementine's was part of...
