"The breakfasts were terrific with a special each morning or a very good buffet selection. The rooms are pleasantly furnished, each unique in a way that feels both elegant and comfortable. The parking turned out to be an excellent boon in a city not designed for cars. The hosts helped us figure out what to see and where to go. Altogether, a very good stay, so good that we extended for a day"

Breakfast was delicious, served freshly cooked on piping hot plates. Good parking, perfect location. "The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. "

"Last minute booking as decided to stay overnight in York. Communication for check in was quick, property was easy to find, close to town and super clean and tidy. Had a relaxing stay and would definitely consider again next time we were in York. Small supermarket and Mrs Greedy’s at end of road was excellent for supplies and a quick cooked breakfast. "

"It í not a 3 *** hotel but a small hostel. Very small room with shared bath room and Toilet. Very uncomfortable and not worth for money paid. Disappointing! Hotel.com should highlight the truth so that clients donot make mistake for what they chose fpr a family holiday."

"You telephone on arrival for instructions to park in a side street if there is space (first come first served), we got a bit lost trying to find the parking area and had to call a few times but got there in the end and luckily there was space. You telephone again when you get to the door of the property for the code to get in and staff talk you through where your room is, where your key card is and how to use the door locking/unlocking panel. Room was a bit tired but clean. Peeling paper on...

"Booked an ensuite room but my room didn't have a bathroom and had to use the shared bathrooms. No staff was on site and had to call to check in. Opening the door to the room requires one hand to turn the electronic lock and the other hand to turn the doorknob. This is inconvenient when you're carrying stuff in your hand."

"Good location. Helpful staff. Our room door was between the lift and the stairs. Banging till late at night from people walking up stairs. Room was very small. Thought it was funny that when I asked for more towels after 3rd day and was told okay but no free drink now."
