"Lovely property, well positioned for visiting places nearby. Parking on site was spacious and well maintained. Pub next door was great and the food good. Communication with the owners was excellent and responses were very quick and helpful. The room (no. 14) was spotless and smelled wonderful as did the whole property!

"A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent."

"I have nothing to compare it with as this is my first experience of youth hostels in 40 years. I was impressed. I loved the open area, bar and restaurant. The dormitory was excellent. Beds were well spaced, ample plug sockets, mattress & pillows excellent. Clean sheets and super mattress. The bed was as good as any 5 star hotel. Honestly. The shower was clean but a little small.
