"This was a well maintained, well located, modern property perfect for a short stay in York. Minutes from the city walls and conveniently located for supermarket, cafes, restaurants and shops as well as the key tourist sites. There is a car park next to the apartment block but it is heavily used and expensive so car-free is best. The property manager was excellent - answered a couple of queries we had really quickly. "

Lovely village with amenities and buses to York. Park and ride option just a short drive away by a great designer outlet. "A lovely cottage in a quiet location. Nice pub within walking distance. We were nearly put off by the bad reviews, but really glad we booked! OK this is not 5* accommodation, but it isn’t advertised as that. Nicely presented and decorated, clean, has everything you need. Wi-Fi is not good. We really enjoyed our stay at the woodlands."
