"Really enjoyed my stay here. I normally stay in modern hotels so this was a change for me. The town is lovely with narrow streets and old buildings so took a while to find the car park to the rear but that’s on me. From check in to check out though everything was an absolute pleasure. The young lady on the desk checked me in promptly and actually showed me to my room instead of just passing a key and having to try and find it in this quaint old building. "We had a lovely stay at the Royal Oak. Hannah was extremely helpful and was quick to respond when i accidentally deleted the message with the keycode! The room was extremely comfortable and clean. We had a superb meal in the pub, and the staff were very friendly. The room was peaceful and quiet, and we enjoyed the views and a glorious sunset. Im an early riser, and i spend some time identifying the birds in the location. Even a chicken popped in to say hello! My partner is diabetic and though...

"This is a lovely cottage which is surprisingly spacious. There are 2 good sized bedrooms, as well as a nice living and kitchen area and big bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay here, everything was spot on, very clean and nice little unexpected extras too. Thoroughly recommended. Pub is recommended too - they do an excellent penang curry and have huge selection of ciders and ales too. "Great place to stay, especially with the dog. Fabulous walking right from the pod door. The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect."

"Lovely relaxing stay at the site for a couple of days. The yurt had everything we needed and all the facilities were clean. We would very much like to come back and try the dome accomodation."

"The yurt was gorgeous and very comfortable, and the orchard and local area were beautiful. We couldn't see another human habitation for miles around! Norman and Ann were very kind and welcoming. We had a great stay - and lots of great walking routes nearby. Strongly recommended! "
