"Stayed at this property for a visit to Scarborough for the night. Cannot mention one bad thing about the hotel. We stayed in the four bedded family room. Brilliant facilities did not have en-suite but we knew this and there were plenty of toilet and shower options throughout the hotel. Very friendly staff. Free parking which was also a bonus. Very close by to all facilities of Scarborough. Small fridge in room which was a nice extra to keep drinks cold. Would definitely stay here again. "

"I really liked this, used to live in Whitby so like coming home. The food is excellent apart from Trenchers which was down on last years although the service was good. My bedroom was superb - beautifully done using all options there for you. Many thanks for a lovely time. Jane Brown"

"We had an excellent stay whilst attending a concert at the open air theatre. The room was clean with everything you needed, a well stocked tea and coffee tray with biscuits and two bottles of water. There was also toiletries in the bathroom although we used our own. The bar itself was great, lovely choice of drinks and food. Great band were playing on the Saturday night, great friendly atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was first class, lots of choice and well cooked. We wouldnt hesitate...

"We received a lovely warm welcome upon arrival before being shown to our very spacious and well appointed en-suite bedroom. The double aspect room was light & airy with views over the moor on one side & church yard on the other. The hospitality tray had a good selection of tea, coffee & water plus some delicious homemade sweet treats. "A wonderful stay with a beautiful room (well rooms as it had a seperate living and dining room) over the top of a Proper Pub, (wooden beams, walls covered in old brewery and pub stuff) music in the background but not so loud as to drown out conversation. Great selection of ales. Really couldn't fault it. Nice breakfast basket in the room, milk and OJ in the fridge. We were overlooking the beer garden but the noise wasn't excessive. Everyone we met from the bar staff to the lady who was cleaning...
