"I was only there a night but used kitchen facilities shower etc all seemed clean and working. I really feel the cold so delighted to find heater in my room if I needed it. Denise was welcoming when I arrived and checked in the next morning with everyone in dining room to check things ok . "

"It was our first overnight stay here and we were pleasantly pleased how conveniently located it was to the centre. Tea, coffee and sugar provided, a very comfortable double bed which was spotlessly clean and fresh and everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Car parking is directly opposite. "

"This hotel listing is incorrect we booked a hotel we thought was in Whitby but this property has been closed for at least the last few months and apparently this hotel is actually in hawes 80miles from Whitby despite all info showing it is in Whitby so we turned up in whitby , no hotel and nowhere else to stay at an affordable price in the Easter holidays so had to go home Do not book this hotel until the issues sorted - check trip advisor we are not the only ones who have been affected "

"After going through the front gate that should have locked I came by a dumpster full of stinking garbage. The small courtyard was filthy. The stairs going up to the rooms needed a good cleaning and refurbishing. After opening the door to the room I was surprised how small it was, 8’x8’? The shared bathroom, toilet paperless, was dingy and poorly lit. Some photoshop trickery must have been used for the pics of the place. "Plenty of hot water , shame shower wasnt up to much (not a power shower by any stretch) we found double bed and settee not comfortable. Nice spot , but it is a very steep drive down to cottage , we walked to Skipton via the top road which wasnt really walker friendly , on our return weather took a turn for the worse so an uber was booked which was a good call as we thought a wet back road would definitely hazardous. Not sure we would return at over £200 per night ."
