"The bedding and towels were lovely and clean, couldn't fault. The shower tray left a lot to be desired, along with the shower mat and windowsill. There was no way of opening/closing the windows as they were too high. The same with the curtains. A long bamboo rod attached to the top could help with opening/closing? Staff? Hardley saw a soul in the 4 days I was there. The breakfast was sufficient for what I needed."

"My friend and I stayed at The Steamer Inn, Shanklin for 3 nights earlier this week. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The service was excellent as was the food; the "included" english breakfast was great, served freshly cooked and well-presented. The Steamer Inn was well located for the buses (50 yards across the road) which we made good use of throughout our stay. It was a shame the lift from the esplanade to the top of the cliff was out of action but instead we made...

"The property is situated so close to city yet is quiet and peaceful. Clean and fresh facilities and the room was well equipped. Shared bathrooms clean. Co-op round the corner. Would certainly stay again as excellent value for money."
