We booked and paid for the place weeks before but when we arrived we were told that they were full and a room was reserved for us at a hotel about six miles away. Not the news we wanted to hear after several hours drive!! Not sure who was at fault but surely someone could have let us know! On the plus side we stayed at Mackays Hotel in Strathpeffer and would strongly recommend a visit there. Lovely staff, nice...

"What can we say, other than what a great little place. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the service would amazing. We were welcomed warmly and even waved off! Dawn, was a great host. The room was in great condition, super comfy bed, and lovely shower/bathroom. Only a 5 minute wonder into town, yet far enough away that its peaceful and quiet. We had our windows open all night and didn't hear a peep from anything or anyone. Will defo be staying here again when I am back in the...
