"Reception staff very welcoming. Hotel very old and carpets very threadbear in halls and stairs. Bathroom had stain on flooring and there was mildew on bath/shower mat. No plugs by bedside . Mattress very lumpy "

"I had a twin room and the bedding on my bed had black marks on, as did two of the towels. The breakfast was great but the rooms were utilitaruan, not what you would expect for the price. The hotel is great for a sports venue and the grounds are lovely but not for the general public looking for a luxury stay as the rooms are too basic. I won’t be staying again."

"We received a very warm welcome, with lots of relevant information provided. We were offered help with luggage, which was very much appreciated. The room and en suite bathroom were both large and the bed was very comfortable, with extra pillows already in the wardrobe if needed. High quality tea and coffee provided in the room. The soap and shower gel smelt divine! A very friendly chat with reception staff on check out, and they seemed genuinely keen to know if we'd enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend this hotel :)"
