"The staff were lovely, the hotel you could tell was once beautiful in its hay day but although it's had a clean paint job it was in need of some tlc. Our room was big and clean but bizarrely the plugs in the main room didn't work if you turned the light off?? "The hotel is in a great location for Cardiff Bay. Unfortunately, I stayed on the hottest days of the year. The room I was allocated on the ground floor did not have any windows that opened, and there seemed to be an aircon/heating unit that wasn’t working; fans were already in the room but didn’t help with the blistering heat and lack of ventilation.

"One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Tired, sad, everything was dirty or broken with no care or attention. It wound have been somewhat acceptable if it was REALLY cheap but it wasn’t. "We loved our stay at Llechwen Hall Hotel, the staff are very welcoming and friendly. There are two steep steps to the restaurant that we couldn’t manage due to disabilities but the staff served us in the lounge area so not a problem. We can certainly recommend this Hotel."
