"Free parking which is so handy.
The room was much better than expected and was clean and comfortable. I think we lucked out on the room we got. Decent for cheap
I didn’t really see any staff other than one man who wouldn’t let us in the building after we had returned. We had to get our friend who had already to come home to let us in and then he made us stay so he can check the room was booked for 3 - despite me saying it was booked for 3. "Didn’t quite realise how ideally situated it is to the tunnel to France
Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly with directions to the terminal

"Nothing Grand about this hotel,arrived after a long journey from France,no parking available on-site had to park on site road which ment we had get up early next day to move the car by 9.We were also told we'd have to pay £5 if we wanted to park at the hotel.I was'nt aware there was a charge.We booked a double room but was given room 510 which was a family room.The window handle was broken so it did'nt shut,the window vent would'nt stay closed and it was blowing a gale outside so the room was...

"Nice size room, easy 10 minute walk from Canterbury West train . Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Shower ok, bed a wee bit tired. Big bonus having a buffet breakfast included - thank you! It was a bit noisy on weekend due to nearby clubs "

"The overall property is in need of care. It is a very interesting, almost grand building but it needs refurbishing and better maintenance.
The staff was welcoming and tried to be helpful (see below)
We had reserved a room with air conditioning. It did not work. We were told that the system would be replaced by the summer! We asked for a fan, we were given a small broken clip fan, we made it work somehow.
The food at the temporary restaurant was limited in choice and quality because of ongoing...

"First impressions were “oh, no!” Reception area seemed dark and claustrophobic and the long walk to the room was almost depressing.
The room seemed pretty dated, but it was immaculately clean. The super king size bed was super comfortable, and despite being part of a busy pub/restaurant in was incredibly quiet. Bathroom was so clean it almost sparkled!
The breakfast was made to order and really tasty.
The walk into town was easy and leads through the park which is beautiful.
Would happily stay...
