"Have stayed at the Maritime hotel a few times now, the cleanliness of the rooms is very good, staff mostly are friendly and helpful. The hotel is being upgraded at the moment but there wasn't too much disruption. It's a nice, comfortable and friendly hotel. "

"The hotel is old (but interesting) and needs a lick of paint here and there but the room was very clean. Bathroom with shower very good. Very nice double bed too. Breakfast was buffet style, was good though no fruit. No problem with Wi-Fi. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Excellent location for eateries and seeing old Southampton. Good value and would stay there again. "

"Checkin took longer than necessary. I wanted to pay in cash for the one night stay. They automatically charged to my credit card without asking. Then they needed my id to pay in cash. Not sure why but that took some extra time. I did not have breakfast at hotel."
