"Searched specifically for a hotel with a pool, turn up at the pool to find out that kids are only allowed in for 2 x 2 hour sessions.
Only a fan in the room, no air conditioning, so no one slept well."

"Very disappointing stay at Langstone Quay Hotel. The room was poorly maintained and several basic amenities were missing despite booking for three guests. Only two mugs and two hot chocolates were provided, and only five pillows instead of six. Reception promised to send another pillow but nothing ever arrived.
The windows in the room were locked shut, making the room extremely uncomfortable. We contacted reception multiple times and were repeatedly told someone would deal with it, but no...

"This is a very lovely hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. We were ecstatic that the room was ready several hours before the standard check-in and we were allowed to go straight to it. The room was large, very clean and the views were soothing.
The surrounding areas were walkable with several convenient shops and restaurants nearby. the only drawback: the room service food was bland and expensive"

"Really poor stay.
Countless issues that shouldn’t happening in a 4 star hotel.
- breakfast poor, bad hygiene, had to ask for tables to be cleaned (as did many other guests)
Ham & cheese served with same spoon (food standards issues)
- room had to repeatedly ask to be cleaned, 2nd time just dropped towels didn’t service anything or take old towels.
- spa - changing rooms gross, flies in all showers, steam room not working.
These are just the highlights.
Wouldn’t recommend, def not worth the...

"Stayed here over the bank holiday as a family of 4. The hotel itself is nice and the outside space is green and relaxing.
However, we were given a very hot top-floor room during 28°C weather, with no air conditioning and windows that barely opened. The fan provided did not help and none of us could sleep. This room really should not have been given to a family in such hot weather in the first place.
At 2am we had to ask for another room, which meant moving tired children in the middle of the...
