"On our arrival at the hotel Expedia hadn’t let the hotel know that we needed an accessible room. The front line staff were very apologetic so as an apology the hotel kindly upgraded our stay to an even better room.
Such a beautiful hotel. As a wheelchair user accessibility is of course of the utmost importance. From checking in to the hotel and leaving, nothing was too much trouble. Everything was easy for me, and I would definitely recommend a stay here at The Clayton, Cambridge. We loved it."

"Early checkin was an awful experience, we called ahead and confirmed we would like to book early checkin, we were told we could arrive at 2pm. When we arrived there was no sign of early checkin and we were told they can clean a room but they had no idea how long it would take. When returning at 3:30pm we got our room and had to pay full early checkin price.
The garden terrace was overgrown and we could barely open the door. The weed smokers in the open courtyard at night ruined the experience...

"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! The guy behind the counter was apologetic and...

"The main thing is that the hotel is in need of refurbishment - old bathroom fittings especially.
NB There is no lift so access is difficult, as well as carrying luggage around quite large property. Also no room with no walk-in shower which again is a big problem fro accessibility issues, especially for elderly guests."
