"After I left this am the hotel is niw closed and ti be sold. News only made know to staff very recently."

"We made an independent booking with an agent. We were not aware that this hotel caters predominantly for coach parties. There were around 200+ coach party guests and only a handful of individual bookings. Our bedroom, on the third floor, was spacious but had no chest of drawers to unpack clothes into. The room and bathroom were clean, but very old fashioned. There were just two electric sockets which were used for the tv and kettle. No other sockets. Rooms were serviced at irregular intervals....

"After a long day of emptying a property, we were looking forward to getting to our room and winding down for the night. Upon arrival into the room, it was like an oven opening up the door. It was 30-degree heat outside, and not one window had been left open to help ventilate or keep the room cool. We had to open our main door to try and let some air enter the room as it was absolutely unbearable to stay in there. Then it was time for a shower. "It was great value for our one night stay. If you’re looking for a location near the beach, train station and the bus stop to Ryde or Ventnor then it’s great. The rooms were small but the bed was comfy and we had tea and coffee provided in the room as well. Check-in and check out were really straightforward and everyone very friendly. Many thanks."

"Very spacious and clean single room. Equipped with fridge and a fan which were both very welcome on the extremely warm conditions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing full refurbishment by dedicated owners. Extremely good value for money also."

"I liked the outside of the building. The inside was awful. Water stained ceilings. Old smelly furniture stacked up in the corridor. The Window was kept open with a piece of wood, I didn't know until I closed the window. I had to lift the window to close it, only for said piece of wood to fall out and nearly hit someone. Shocking. Tha fan in the room did not have front guard on, I was unable to use it. Bathroom had paint peeling from the skirting around the shower. Mould on the sealant. ...

"There was no light on the Holloway. No parking until 7pm. Entrance was not very welcoming. Though house was spacious. "

"The property is situated in a great part of Southsea, you can get to the beach relatively quickly and there are plenty of attractions around. The property itself is in need of a spruce up and a thorough deep clean, it feels a bit tired throughout. Our children were wearing light coloured socks and due to the hard floors not being cleaned properly, they were all filthy when we left. For a property that sleeps 10, there is only 1 bathroom which was surprising, especially if everyone is trying...

"Friendly staff. The lounge and bar area seemed recently renovated. Room was a bit outdated but the price was reasonable. "

"No ventilation, the apartment has no WINDOWS, accept for 2 roof lights which were too high to reach. The property was booked for 3 people, I rang and confirmed but regardless there was no linen or pillows for the 3rd person."
