"We enjoyed our stay at Sercotel Portales. It is in a great location, within a few minutes’ walk to many restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean, with comfortable bedding, but there was a distinct smell of smoke, particularly in the bathroom, which led us to believe that this may either have been a smoking room (even if we requested non-smoking) or that previous guests ignored the non-smoking directive. Because we could open the window, we were able to “air” out the place, and enjoy it. The bad smell was ultimately a minor inconvenience. We recommend this hotel. "

"For me it would have been a 5 star hote. If they fix the shower head. The first room we got it was broken. For me it is important because we are doing the Camino and for me a bath is too hard to slower. They were nice and changed my room. The other incident someone open our room - 9:00 pm. "We were only in this nh for a night and this was our third or fourth nh hotel ( after nh Toulouse airport, nh Bilbao and nh cuidad Santander ( we eventually finished our road trip in nh collection Zaragoza )) . The room was clean and the staff were accommodating. There is a nearby “Mercado” supermarket just beside the hotel . The parking was convenient. The best thing about this hotel was the cute lobby with its collection of books ( in English ) . The breakfast buffet was your typical nh buffet which is not bad . This nh hotel is also near “Calle Laurel”’where all the tapas bars of Longroño are located. "
