"Good location and pub next door"

"The room was huge with more than enough space for a seating area as well as a dressing table/coffee station. Tea/coffee provided and hairdryer in room. Bathroom was adequate but dated and some of the seating in the bedroom area was ripped and one of the bedside lights didn’t work. Staff were helpful although it took some time to knowledge us on arrival. They were really helpful when I phoned to make an enquiry prior to arrival. "One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks."

"Desperately needed air con"

"Very clean room and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Shower is a bit of a dribble and you need to bring your own soap or shower gel. No breakfast but there's options just around the corner. A great pub with lots of beers on offer from their own brewery. I'd happily go back."

"The room was excellent and the staff were all lovely. We had dinner the first evening but somehow our order got 'lost' and we waited an hour for the food from ordering. Meanwhile, meals were being brought out for diners around us. No one seemed to notice that we were waiting and waiting..... However, the staff were very apologetic, the food was delicious (when it finally arrived) and we were not charged for it in the end. Overall, a great place to stay- and eat- and we would recommend."

"Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop."
