"A fantastic stay. The lady who runs Powter Howe could not have been friendlier and was very patient with me on my arrival, including with my sad attempts to get my car into the place!
This is a beautiful, proper country house - very spacious room, lovely breakfast. It is very quiet here. The log fire was amazing and it was great to spend a quiet evening here away from it all!
I would stay again."

"Lovely place, easy access to Keswick and it's own parking. The room's were very clean and comfortable, nice hot showers.
Breakfast was a fresh cooked full English as you expect and was great. The Owner was lovely and very helpful."

"Highly recommended! Very warm, friendly welcome from Phil. Very well organised and has lots of daily advice. A nice comfortable room with everything you need. An excellent breakfast too. A very enjoyable short stay, we would definitely return. "

"Staff are friendly, approachable and will do anything to help you have a pleasant stay. Rooms clean and powerful showers. Loads of storage space. Breakfast was amazing and first time when offered a range of options - you must try the Overnight Oats! Just what we needed before some big hikes. "
