"We've stayed here several times... myself, my 2 teen boys and our Newfoundland doggo. The building is on the older side, but decently maintained. The staff is super helpful and wonderful to interact with if needed. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and thorough. The chairs on the top of the hill behind the hotel are an excellent place to relax and the view of Monument Mountain is spectacular from there! If you enjoy hiking, access to the trails on Monument Mountain are just down the road. Having access to the amenities at The Red Lion Inn is a great bonus."

"Motel is fine for a 1 or 2 star motel. It is clean and has good comfortable beds. The room was tiny. The bathroom was tiny. Barely can fit two people. Otherwise it is fine. Again you need to know that this is super basic motel and the rating is based on that. Don’t expect a nice accommodation when renting it. Fine for a 1 night stay but I wouldnt stay there for longer. It has AC but it is a bit loud and blows right at the bed. Need to cover it with a towel if you don’t want to get cold air blown at you."

"The place is on beautiful grounds & the units are spacious & clean & you have everything you need. My big complaint is that the indoor & outdoor pools were closed, in the middle of a hot summer week, awaiting an inspection by the Bd. of Health. Thus should have been communicated to us before (or at least upon check in). Perhaps we would have tried to book elsewhere had we known in advance. Their lovely pool is a big draw in hot weather."

"I found the staff very helpful, especially the young man who worked over night. We experienced a slight problem, and he could not have been nicer. He represented the hotel extremely well. Breakfast was uninspiring but generally good. The view from the breakfast room is lovely. The common areas seem a little tired, but the room was very good value - especially as we overlooked the lake. The location is wonderful for Lee, Lenox, Stockbridge, all the cultural centers and the Mass Pike. A beach is adjacent for swimming. We plan to return next year."
