"We’ve stayed 3 or 4 times at Excelsior, and, as last visit, had a wonderful time. The setting is amazing, Kirstin who runs it is lovely, very efficient and an amazing cook! James who is maitre d’, is also very personable and helpful. Both of them make sure your stay is top class. There’s a golf buggy you can use to look round the vineyard. The wine is very good indeed, and guests get to drink it free, whether lounging round the beautiful pool or enjoying one of Kirstin’s wonderful...

"We had the best time at Kambati as a family we had a gorgeous view from our tent that was very clean it was our first time trying the glamping style and our experience was amazing! The kids enjoyed every minute we played thhe mini golf and the kids swam in the pools with slides and had ice cream cones at the pool the staff is so friendly and the cute animals too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back! Thank you Kambati for your friendly hospitality "

"Truly amazing! Beautiful room, views and pool area. The food in the restaurant was splendid. The only thing that was a bit strange was that breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before, and coffee/tea was not included. And they have no lunch. I guess my feedback is that they should have more food options available. Another note to future visitors - the mountain road up to the hotel was a bit difficult if you have a smaller car. But other than that it was perfect."

"Stayed for one night with my boyfriend as a stopover between Sutherland and Cape Town, and honestly wish we’d booked two. Despite booking very last minute, Evelyn made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived with a glass of champagne. The property is beautifully curated; every piece of furniture and decor feels intentional, giving the whole place a boutique, high-end atmosphere. The individual lodges are fabulous, with large comfortable rooms. Our guide was brilliant, getting us as close as possible to the animals and explaining everything with great humour. "I’m really happy to have stayed here. The hotel is situated in the prettiest street in town, by many of it’s best eats. The receptionist, Shamiso, made me feel very welcome the entire stay and provided plenty of ideas for hiking, wine tasting or just enjoying the town. Everything was clean and neat, the breakfast varied, delicious, homemade and plentiful. The bartender, Devonne, was delightful and attentive and even surprised me with an impressive live performance on acoustic gitar, good vocals...
