"The hotel was like a Motel 6 with a view. It was clean and in a great location but it was old. The bathroom was slightly scary and the toilet leaked. The hotel charges a destination fee at the end of your stay as a little going away present."

"Sentral Gaslamp is a great product let down by poor execution. It’s quiet, it’s safe, it’s quick and simple to get to your room. The early check in process was lovely and the quality of the room was very nice. The shower was great as was the bed quality and the pillows, the view. All of it was perfect as a room. But what I didnt like was that the WiFi and the TVs were out for almost the full time I was there. The washing machine had an error code almost the full time. Sometimes the water would sputter in the shower and the sink. They worked with me when I pushed them in that I was beginning to regret my stay, I got my housekeeping done early and they fixed the issues I mentioned. But it took work to get there and for the price this hotel costs per night, the expensive valet parking and just being in expensive downtown overall, it shouldn’t have been so much work. Ultimately Sentral felt like booking a super nice furnished apartment that you have to negotiate with your landlord. The fundamentals are sound, but it wasn’t so easy once one day turned into the next. That said they did fix all the issues and they were very kind to me. The service was good."
