"This made the top of my list for the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. We booked an 8 day stay here and we ended up checking out within the first 20 minutes of checking in. We booked a different hotel for the same 8 days and immediately went straight to the new hotel. Westgate did not grant a refund for this even though we only stayed for 20 minutes which I think is petty because they had rooms available and it’s not like we took business away. Anyways, here is why we left…. 1. The room was FILTHY. The carpet was musty and smelled of dogs / urine. The sheets had stains on them and my wife said they smelled like an odorous man. 2. There is a jacuzzi in the middle of the room and there is a floor to ceiling window that leads to an outdoor patio. So, essentially, you’re bathing in public, truly bizzare. Now, there is a shower in an 2 x 3 room, however, it appears to be designed for dwarfs. 3. The staff were incredibly rude. We stated our misgivings with the room. They told me “well, we can look into giving you a different room on Monday”. We checked in on a Saturday so that was unacceptable. Then I mentioned the dirty sheets, she then sent someone who didn’t speak English to our room 10 minutes later with a grocery bag of “fresh” sheets for us to put on. No, they did not offer to replace the sheets, yet, give us a grocery bag with new sheets and have us do it after a 13 hour drive. I am not sure how this hotel is rated what it is. I learned my lesson. AVOID!"

"I’ve been staying at this hotel since 2021, back when it operated under Wyndham, and unfortunately, the change to Holiday Inn has come with a noticeable decline in quality while prices have increased. Right after checking in, I was approached by a staff member attempting to sell me a vacation plan. I repeatedly explained that I wasn’t interested and that I was tired, but he continued to push the sale even after I said I was already feeling overwhelmed. That interaction set a frustrating tone for the stay. The room itself was also lacking basic amenities. There were no soap bars or the usual vanity kits with essentials like a toothbrush and toothpaste. The body wash provided is labeled as Dove, but it clearly does not match the quality or authenticity of that brand. Later that night, I needed ice, but the ice machine on my floor was missing entirely. I checked other floors, and none of the machines were working. This made a simple necessity unnecessarily inconvenient. Overall, this stay was very disappointing compared to my past experiences here. The increase in price does not reflect the current level of service or quality."

"Very nice hotel for the money. Stayed in building 5800 6th floor. Was well worth the money. Resort is huge and they try there best to keep it tidy. Has 14 pools...."

"We stayed at the Orlando resort following a week at Disney with our son, daughter-in-law, daughter, son-in-law and 3 young grandkids. We had an amazing time! However, we were exhausted and needed some relax time before returning home. This was the perfect spot to do that! Everyone and everything was welcoming. Check-in was simple and the rum punch was perfectly timed. The wristband "keys" were great and we never had to fumble around looking for a key or card. The property was bright and clean and simple to navigate. Our room lacked for nothing and even offered some special touches. We got settled and went straight to the beach pool bar to kick back with some beer and apps. We later walked around the area and loved seeing the vendors, shops and music that was everywhere. Back in the room, we sat on the balcony overlooking another pool and listened to more music as the night moved in. Our bed and bedding was super comfortable and we had an amazing night's sleep. We know we will look to Margaritaville on future trips including ones closer to home. Escapes are special and we now know where to find them."
