"Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and although the bathroom seemed a little worn it was very clean. Breakfast was ok. The rooms we had were an upgrade from the ones we booked, I think. The hotel was situated in a lovely area, with walking available along the river and the canal, and a couple of villages close by, containing decent pubs and restaurants. I would stay there again."

"The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English."

Efficient staff - check in took 21 seconds! Great location. I went to a concert at Komedia, which is next door. Wetherspoons etc nearby."

"Approximately 10 minutes drive to centre of Bristol and with good parking (£3.50 for 24 hours if staying). Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms are very clean and rooms are very large but the hotel could do with some tlc and looking very tired. Ideal however for a short stay"

"Hotel discreto, senza troppe pretese, in linea con le tre stelle dichiarate. È molto vicino alla stazione Temple Meads, il che lo rende ideale per il tragitto in bus da e per l'aeroporto e per visitare in treno altri gioielli della zona (Bath, Salisbury etc). Il centro si può raggiungere a piedi senza fatica. Il personale è gentilissimo e sorridente. La colazione è migliorabile come qualità e varietà. L'insonorizzazione delle camere non è ottimale. Il bagno è una specie di cabina di plastica....

"Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again."

Large tv in the room soap and body wash in large containers over the bath couldn’t be accessed while your sitting in the bath they were set too high up the wall and one was empty . Staff were all relaxed and happy in their work couldn’t do enough for you especially the dining room staff"

"It's OK. The hotel looks better on the outside than on the inside. Sauna/Steam room/Swimming pool are good. Rooms a bit dirty and outdated. No aircon."
