"This would have got a 5 star review had there not been any redecorating going on, leaving corridors dark and smelly. Will be great at the end of it though. Standard room clean and spacious, large tv and immaculate bathroom. The shower was amazing. Ate and drank at the hotel. Food was delicious and drinks reasonably priced. Don’t forget to tell staff if you are staying at the hotel as you’ll get 25% discount on all food. Plenty of parking, free at weekends. Only there one night but a lovely stay....

"We arrived around 4:30, the carpark was busy and the restaurant really busy - wasn’t an issue for us as we were going out. The reception is away from the hustle and bustle of the bar/ restaurant which was good. The room was big enough, but the beds are really small. My husband had to go and ask for another room (on his own) as the double was bearly wide enough for both of us, let alone long enough. … so if you are over 5’8 you will struggle. "Hotel guest parking at the rear through barrier (though barrier was up when I arrived and up when I left. Entrance to reception also at rear. Fuss free check in, first floor room in typical Greene King style. Reasonably clean and tidy with everything set out for single guest (only 2 pillows, 2 tea bags, 2 milk sachets....)
