"We stayed for 1 night at this gem of a place! We arrived quite late but managed to get into the restaurant just before they finished serving. The food was outstanding! Not an extensive menu. A few pub classics such as fish and chips. I had an open fish pie which was delicious. We had breakfast the next morning which was equally as good. We did say it was a shame we didnt live nearer as we'd definitely return for a meal. The rooms were recently modernised we were told and were lovely! A good...

"The pub that I stayed in for the night, was very cozy. the bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. Central to the center of town 2 min walk, the staff at the westgate pub were friendly and they cooked a very nice breakfast in the morning. the westgate is perfect for a one night stop over."

"Lovely friendly welcome from staff on arrival. Room clean and fresh with coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits provided ! Bed was comfy with great pillows. Breakfast superb with lovely egg Benedict as well as pastries and fruit juice served by another friendly staff member. Easy walk into town. Parking on street close by although nothing resident permit area so only free 6 pm to 10am. Overall fantastic place to stay. "

"Convenient location and easy access, room comfortable and clean. Reception changed our rooms to ground floor on request at arrival, as allocated rooms were not easily accessed, lots of stairs up and down and corridors. Breakfast ok on Saturday but not very hot, tea and coffee machine dispensing very weak and tasteless coffee and tea. Parking good, but quite along waln to reception. "
