"Outside of hotel is a little tired. Very tired in some places. Corridors looked dated. So a pleasant surprise when I opened the door to the room and it was spotlessly clean, modern decor and cute accessories. Really modern TV too. Breakfast was fine. Didn’t blow us away but had everything you need. Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, toast and a few standard English cooked options. Staff were lovely and helpful. "

"Really lovely and welcoming place, vaguely on the outskirts of town so it was far enough removed from busy areas and touristy bits by the beach to be spot on for me on my work trip but I suspect it was closed enough to all that if you were a tourist. Great room, very comfortable, tasty biscuits and complimentary bottled water on the dresser. Breakfast was really good. Staff were all very attentive, friendly and welcoming. "

"We stayed in a twin room in the older part of the building....it was very disappointing! The mattress was the most uncomfortable that i have ever slept on, it must jave been the cheapest matress you could buy, all the springs had gone in it and lots of dips and hollows, i had to lay the bath towels on top of it to try and stop the springs from digging into me! The room was an awkward shape and a very poor layout. The furniture looked really tired and the wardrobe had a handle missing, there was paint peeling off the walls in certain areas. The whole room was in need of a revamp! The bathroom was more modern and had obviously been done up recently though. We ate in the restaurant which was extremely overpriced with very small portions, i would recommend eating elsewhere if you get the chance! The pool/spa facilities were good, although the steam room didn't have much steam in it! Overall a very disappointing stay for a supposedly four star hotel, i have stayed in far better places and would not stay here again! There is a more modern side of the hotel which is probably more up to par than the old side that we stayed in?"

"The Marlborough was comfortable, clean and good value. The front desk people were very helpful and let us park the car for an extra day in order to explore Norwich a little more. Thank you! "

"The breakfast was great and can have vegan choice.The rooms are clean and have tea facilities. The chef is a great cook. All the staff are helpful and if time allows, in a quite moment will always have a chat. "

"Everything about this stay was basic. For the price we paid, we knew it would be basic. That's what we paid for. Comfy bed - impressed it was king size. Close to the seafront. Town was a 10 minute walk. Free parking on the road outside. Clean bedding. Clean towels. Working TV with Freeview. Tea & coffee tray. Space in the room to put things away if you wanted. Quiet location and quiet inside. Plenty of space for 2 people to move around in the room. We wanted a cheap place to lay our heads for 2 nights. This didn't disappoint. We'd happily go back if in the area again. "
