"The hotel is beautiful and so full of history. They have kept it up and made updates to keep it with the times but still remain timeless. The pool was fantastic, the hot tub was divine, Caroline's candied bacon, whooooaaaa! We only ate breakfast there but even those drinks were fun! We can't wait to go back."
"Staff was great. We had an issue with the heat in our room, maintenance arrived at our room as soon as he got to work. He got us a new room, made sure the cleaning staff took care of the room ASAP and went to the front desk to retrieve our new key cards."
"I stay here when I visit Dubuque. I won't stay anywhere else!! The front desk staff is amazing! They are very personable and courteous. The room is always clean and the price is very affordable!!"
"This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. It is not a boutique or high-end facility. But the owners have figured out what is important to their guests and have provided all of the necessities with quality products and care. There were 3 large towels. Lately all of the places I have stayed with 2 of us, there were 2 towels. I use a 2nd one for my hair. I so appreciate this. The hair dryer was the best I have ever had. It is strong, not like the ones in other hotels that take forever to dry anything. The shampoo, body wash and conditioner are lavender and were wonderful. Because of the grab bar and rough surface, I felt safe in the shower. The alarm clock had the correct time, the heater was comfortable on a night that was minus 41 wind chill. There is a microwave, coffee maker, small fridge iron and ironing board. The bed and bedding are very comfortable and the flooring was new vinyl plank. There was cold water available and they are waiting for new furniture but ours was great. They obviously care about their establishment. Great people."
