"The property is located on a site which includes a hotel and a group of small private homes. None of which is a negative. The area is very quiet, but you definitely need a car. The surrounding area is sensationally beautiful and well worth a visit and we enjoyed our trips out very much. The property itself was disappointing. "Location is superb - stone’s throw from seafront and in amongst all the shops, restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking on site. Our room with terrace and partial sea view was lovely. Clearly been modernised fairly recently and had everything we needed, including a fan (and a beaver!) Shower was excellent and very clean bathroom. Aside from our room, breakfast had great selection and all the staff were polite and pleasant. The breakfast room was very hot with very few windows open. Parts of the hotel are looking very tired and could do with an uplift. Games room smelled very musty. Check in and out could be better. Receptionist on phone both times (personal not business) and ended up just leaving key on desk on check out."

"We stayed for one night. We booked a family suite and my kids, aged 4 and 6, had an adjoining room all to themselves, which they thoroughly enjoyed. The room was clean and well maintained. Victoria was so very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast next morning was lovely. The hotel is at a great location, with the beach just 2 minutes away and lots of shops and cafes just next door. We’ll definitely be coming back!"

"Staff were friendly and approachable, nothing to much trouble. Room was spacious but with a small on suite. On are stay weather was lovely, which made room very hot at night even with a fan. Breakfast had a good buffet selection of hot and cold items. Cooked breakfast was lovely. Free parking available, small car park, but we had no issues in parking during are stay."

"The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. Unfortunately the Roman blinds at the windows you couldn’t open and close which doesn’t allow you to have natural light although to be fair there is no view only a shed used for storage and also no one can see you in your room The bed was ok the sheets and pillows were spotlessly clean and the duvet and pillows extra soft and fluffy and the towels were the same. I would stay there again . It’s not 5 star but for the price and overnight and short stays perfect. The actual parking behind the rooms is limited if all the rooms are taken and require a car space but plenty in front of Greggs just a few steps away. I had no problem. I had booked it because it’s so convenient for River Cottage where I was going on a cookery course."
