"Comfy room, generous towels.
Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service.
There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

"I didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment, but it looked fresh.
Had a coffee but was luke warm, could not be warmed up as it was from a machine.
Staff super helpful when I requested to move to a bigger room. Manager was very helpful too.
The only thing that let the hotel down is that the walls and floors could be thicker, a family that were staying seemed to let their children run free, up and down the corridors! Was annoying.
Could not hear the traffic noise at all. Aircon was nice....

"The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed."

"Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.
Lovely building - a little wear and tare but a large property to maintain!
But overall, very atmospheric and I would definitely go back there to stay

"One of the highlights of our Northumberland road trip, Langley Castle felt like such a treat, packed with character, history and atmosphere. "The room was clean enough but the shower room had streaks down the paint and signs of mildew. There was some discarded cigarettes by our bedroom door that a previous occupant must have left but housekeeping never removed them before or during our stay.
Food in the restaurant was decent but the service was slow and we had to ask several times over for jugs of water to be brought to our table, too.
