Khách sạn Chopwell

"Had a great stay here, spacious bedroom overlooking the countryside in a quiet location. Enjoyed the food and great atmosphere in the pub."

"A slightly dated and tired hotel. Rooms were spacious and bar staff helpful."

"The staff were very friendly and the food was great"

"Generally the stay we had was good. Room was fine apart from the fact the carpet could do with a deep clean. This didn’t spoil our stay as we never walk around any floor without shoes. Breakfast was good and in plenty of choice. Maybe the etiquette of hotel staying could be better as some very inconsiderate guests have no consideration regarding the noise they make very late at night. Great location for Metro Centre and very close to bus stop for Newcastle. We had a lovely time."

"Excellent attentive staff very clean room no faults"

"The lady who checked in was so lovely, even took us to our room. Every member of staff asks if you need help finding anything and direct you to were you need to be. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast included in the room stay was 10/10."

"Described as a bed and breakfast without the breakfast. Very confusing accommodation with bathroom and toilet access or down the hall. Greeting was interesting but beds were okay for sleeping and mainly quiet. Pictures don't represent the rooms and expectations from advertising not met. Would not stay again even for one night."

"Really spacious clean room. Bathroom a bit dated and shower not very warm. Great location and parking facilities. Cracking view of the river from the room. I got an email offering a deal on breakfast. On paying at reception I was told it didn’t include VAT for the breakfast which was extra which I thought was a bit misleading. Other than that nice stay."

"Room was clean but very cold couldn’t get the underfloor heating to work Breakfast was disappointing plate was oily eggs were overcooked beans were cold as if the were straight out of the tin as was the mushroom and tomato sausages ,bacon ,black pudding and hash brown were lukewarm and didn’t come with toast or fried bread"

"Well situated to train station, Eldon Square shopping centre, Grainger Market, Bigg Market’s bars and some nice restaurants a few minutes walk away. Room was decent although paint was peeling off the bathroom wall and some mould in the shower, so definitely needs a room refresh."

"First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

"Good breky"

"Excellent customer services at Check in and throughout the stay. Great location, 2 minute walk from strain station. Really effective sound proofing and amazing breakfast choices, really good veg option. Would recommend."

"A good impression on arrival as you drive to the front door. There are a few appointed disability parking spaces but there is additional space that can be used providing it does not limit the thoroughfare. A large parking area is nearby but involves a 5 min walk back. Check-in was handled well for our group although dining that night as a group required meals to be pre-selected to help the catering staff. Whist complying with this requirement, the actual meal service was sporadic with some meals...
