"You telephone on arrival for instructions to park in a side street if there is space (first come first served), we got a bit lost trying to find the parking area and had to call a few times but got there in the end and luckily there was space. You telephone again when you get to the door of the property for the code to get in and staff talk you through where your room is, where your key card is and how to use the door locking/unlocking panel. Room was a bit tired but clean. Peeling paper on ceiling, mattress felt a bit springy and old, few marks on walls, TV had a line across the screen but was still watchable and had streaming apps enabled. Tea and coffee facilities with biscuits and easy refills from entrance hall. Bathroom small with a sloped shelf you couldn't put anything on as it slipped straight off! Shower itself was a good power shower, however bathroom furniture quite old and tired, marks on wall and shower tray discoloured. Overrall a good enough, cheap and clean place to stay. Don't expect luxury but its affordable and fine if you just want a place to crash."

"Nice hotel. Kind of at the very back of York so it's quite a hike to get there. You feel like you're in someone's den. It was very cozy and comfortable"

"Unfortunately in our room the ventilation was not working and had a error come up if you tried to restart the air conditioning. We did not really need air conditioning for cooling that much but just flowing air would have been much nicer as the room but a bit muggy and musky because lack of air flow. Windows did open a bit we found so that did help. Room was well fitted out but some things did not work, usb ports along side bed, fan in bathroom. Not a deal breaker but could have been better for sure. Good Competitive rates though as well."

"This property is convenient to the train station, the wall, and walking around the city. Our room was in the basement(!), and it was comfortable. The bathroom was quite narrow and small. Happy hour specials are fantastic, and we enjoyed that. Breakfast was a zoo, but it had all the typical offerings. The gym was a good size with good equipment offerings. Wifi was strong for streaming."

"The Milner is missing the essential : a Good bed a good mattress and good cushions . Also could hear the noise next door train station due to poor window quality . So overall what I think about hotel negative I had a bad night and didn't sleep well . will never come back"
