"We stayed at The Green Man after a half day canoeing on the Wye at Symonds Yat. Great location. Check in was really easy and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The room was great , bed was comfy and had an iron, tea/coffee making facilities with a good range of tea/hot chocolate. Parking is aplenty and we had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent - all four of us cleaned our plates and were really happy with what we ordered. We didn’t have breakfast but can imagine it...

"Stayed here Mon-Fri. My initial opinion of this place was very good. Staff were very friendly and appeared efficient. Check-in was easy. Rooms are very good with a ceiling fan and additional tower fan in the room which was helpful during the recent spell of hot weather. Breakfast was good. "Bed was lovely and comfortable. Room was very nice. Struggling to get in and out of the shower. Staff on the whole were lovely but felt there was an atmosphere of discontentment amongst staff. Food expensive with service charge added without giving us the opportunity to say no. Rats running around the skip outside. Needs a general paint job outside. Leaving on a positive the breakfast was lovely."

"Apartment was very spacious with everything we needed. A continental breakfast was provided which was appreciated. We had dinner at the pub one night and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking available. There is no lift and entry/exit is via external fire exit stairs at the rear of the building."

"We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided. We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks...

"There were unfortunately several issues with the property. There was no running water in the bathroom sink. The room was unbearably hot, with no fan or any methods of cooling. When we opened a window for ventilation, the noise from the busy street (not evident in any photos!) kept us awake. The room we booked pictured a double bed, but when we checked in there were two single beds. Worst of all, I woke up covered in bug bites! When we tried to find someone to tell them we were checking out...
