"Recently refurbished to a high standard this 8 roomed hotel was a pleasant one night stopover for us. Our room was clean & comfortable, although the ceiling fan was pretty useless in the hot weather. It may have needed adjusting but there was no information about it in the room! The dividing room walls do not prevent all the noise from the adjoining room from being heard. The bar and dining area was spacious and there were plenty of staff providing good friendly service. "I requested breakfast but was told they didn’t do it anymore. The stairs were cramped with 2 turns and inadequate/absent rails. We did not meet any staff. There was a note saying how we could ring them. The hot and cold water at the wash basin were plumbed in the wrong way round. I did not see any indicator for which was hot or cold. It matters because this is where you fill the kettle. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm."
