"We had to change rooms for the second night due how I booked the 2 night stay at the last minute - my fault. But must admit I was glad to move as the first night in the cottage across the car park was very noisy with unhappy guests (one off ? ) and banging doors (big sign on door - so regular occurrence?) ! Some of the staff were delightful but unfortunately my first encounter was a French lady in the bar who was obtuse to say the least. I...

"I recommend upgrading to a superior room for a much more luxurious space and nice view. I had a lovely room and excellent view of the front lawn. My friend who had a regular room had an okay room with a view of the back parking lot! It’s a beautiful historic property and stunning location on the river, so might as well make the most of your stay! Don’t expect much from the “spa” treatment. It was nothing special and very expensive given the circumstances. The pool area was nice but a bit...

"Absolutely fab stay. Maybe a bit more expensive than it should be for what’s offered. Room was bigger than expected and very clean. Wardrobe was small but it did the job for one night. Lighting was quite poor for getting ready and the vanity mirror is far too high to be useful. Bathroom was small but the shower was big and very good pressure. Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) are provided. Tea and coffee also provided in the room.
No parking on-site but there is a car park...
