"Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. There was a glitch in the admin system which meant it thought I hadn't paid, paid again and then got to room, checked and went back to rectify and said it could take up to 6 days to refund. The room was boiling even though there was a fan in the room, they had no extra fans to help with the warmth which was nearly unbearable on day 1. The room was for 3 people but only set up for 2. "The room was lovely,clean and comfortable.The provision of a fan was much needed and made the night bearable in the heat. Breakfast was excellent,food freshly cooked and plentiful and the usual range of cereals, fruit and pastries. "I love this hotel, I visit at least twice a year. Its large, but comfortable and perfectly situated for both the town of Buxton and the wider peak district. The staff are mainly young, but helpful and hardworking ....they could do with a few more sometimes, they can be very busy, especially in the bar. "This hotel really did represent value for money on a weekend where the city was busy due to a famous comedian performing. The hotel is central and only a five minute walk from the train station. Staff helpful, communal spaces lovely for a drink in the evening.
