"Perfect location as you were close enough to walk into town but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Path up to the property gave me a good workout in the heat. So glad I could cool off in the downstairs of the property, as it remained nice and cool despite 30°C+ outside. Will definitely stay again"

"Adequate basic accommodation however our stay was ruined by interaction with host, who was rude, defensive and argumentative, instructing us to read the fine print when we requested a fresh roll of toilet paper at the commencement of our stay. This property requires byo toilet paper. Interior is tired and dated. You need a car here and coins for electricity meter."

"The property was in a great location for the town centre. The road is very narrow so be mindful of what size car you have, but we were fine. Only enough parking for one car, so had to park in the park and ride for the other car, but that was easy enough. House is fully equipped, very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend."

"Good stay, with a large comfortable, spotlessly clean, homely, well equipped apartment. Friendly staff. However, there were a couple of niggles, the TV was really small, old fashioned and not smart so no access to streaming services etc. There was also a surprise charge for daily electricity usage, which wasn’t mentioned during booking, and could really add up if you were staying for a few nights or more. "

"The overall stay was excellent - 9/10 The views from, both the lounge & the main bedroom, are spectacular - we were treated to a constant toing & froing of a variety of vessels, seals, the arrival & departure of a huge cruise liner (the Silver Wind) & just before our departure the arrival of a large paddle steamer (the Waverley). "Lovely small boutique hotel near the quayside with friendly staff and nicely decorated. Very busy with a coffee shop and restaurant on lower ground. Being one of the oldest buildings in the town it has low ceilings, steep stair cases, beams and wonky floors! The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and our bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free WiFi, bottled water, tv, tea & coffee, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and USB plug points besides the bed are included. A couple of rooms are on the first floor and the others on the second/third floor. Breakfast is served between 8-11am and was excellent, as was the coffee! Unfortunately we can’t review the dinner as we had other plans but it looked great. Parking is an issue within the town and we were aware of this before arriving. After October, parking is slightly better and we managed to park for three days in a free car park, a five minute walk away. Being an old building, the windows are not double glazed, therefore especially the front bedrooms are draughty and you hear the traffic and people. The hotel is at the end of lower street/ Bayards cove with a pub next door so not much through traffic but you do hear the deliveries reversing first thing in the morning. We enjoyed our stay here and visiting the surrounding areas -via the ferries and steam train. Dartmouth was delightful! Well recommended!"

"Probably my favourite inn I've ever stayed in. The room was perfect, thoughtful touches everywhere, the location right on the edge of the town centre was excellent, everything the town had to offer was less than a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was 5*. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay here again."
