"Loved our stay here! It was close to the main train station and made getting around the city so easy! We were surprised to find that the hotel provided a city card that gives you free access to the city buses. And 20% discount at attractions. We took advantage of the buses to save our feet. We ducked onto a bus when it was raining hard, taking a long bus ride just to wait out the rain/take a break. "Some of the rooms used to be prison cells. Pretty cool. Our room seemed very new, simple, but clean. We were able to walk to the train easily. We also walked to the Lion Monument, the Watchtowers, the river and shopping."

"Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay."

"Beautiful historic property. Located across the street from the lake in Lucerne. Very walkable to downtown Lucerne. The best part was the wonderful staff. They worked hard to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend this if you like older historic properties with a lot of character. We loved our room with the balcony."

"Stayed in the honeymoon suite with our two boys and parents and there was plenty of room however only one shower. The location is excellent - centrally located and very walkable. Hotel staff was nice and facility was clean. My mom was very happy to have fresh towels every day without asking. No AC and temperatures in the 80's, so an extra oscillating fan would have been nice, but not a deal breaker. "
