"The family room we had was perfect for the 5 of us ( 2 adults and 3 school age children). Very spacious. Loved the private hot tub. Loved the dinner buffet. And how can you not love the view. Highly recommend. "

"Amazing property by a river. It’s a little bit of a challenge to figure out how to get around by train, but it is possible. The breakfast buffet was incredibly good and leisurely and enjoyable for us as a family traveling to meet other family that has relatives in Japan. Highly recommend this location."

"A wonderful traditional ryokan. Clean, with private onsens you can use twice per day (or more). Very friendly staff. Highly recommend! Tip: take a taxi from the train station, it is a 15 min walk but very uphill. Also, for fine dining you can walk 10 minutes to the Hyatt that has two nice restaurants incl. sushi. "

We were delighted to experience such authentic Japanese cuisine. The service was thoughtful and attentive. "Wonderful hotel tucked away with gorgeous views! Close walk to bus stop and the train, you’ll just have to prepare to walk uphill a lot lol the onsen is amazing, we used the outdoor one every night. There aren’t many people so both hubby and I had the onsen to ourselves each time! It’s such a peaceful place, it’s where we ended our Japan trip. Just know that restaurants and shops close early (like 5-7pm!) and the busses also stop around 10 so eat early. We got the executive suite, so so worth it...

"This was one of our favourite stays in Japan. The staff were super accommodating to me and my dietary restrictions which I appreciated so much! One person in our party left something behind and the hotel staff we super nice and helpful to send the item to them at our next hotel. We will make sure to stay here again our next time in Japan."
