This is a beautiful small hotel situated on a quiet, mainly residential road about 5 minutes drive outside St. François. The property is very clean, neat and tidy with pleasant gardens and infinity pool to the rear which overlooks the Caribbean Sea and over to Dominica and Marie Galante. Breakfast is taken looking out over the pool, gardens and the water beyond which is a perfect way to start the day. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean and decorated in a French style with...

Yes pool was lovely.

The hotel was in a beautiful setting and the staff could not have been more helpful. As it is the low season we had the pool and hotel to ourselves some days. At the weekends it does get busy as the locals come to use the pool and have dinner. Hiring a car is essential, we thought we could hire bikes but the hills are just too steep. The food was lovely. Everything about our stay was great, we wish it could have been longer.

We were travelling around Guadeloupe and this fitted our last minute needs for a place to stay.

Lovely location and the quiet beach was good with enjoyable swimming and snorkling The facilities and service were a bit underwhelming. The breakfast restaurant is expensive and the bar not open and the beach restaurant not open each day. Housekeeping didn't always happen without asking.

Late check out must be booked in advance in case you didn’t know (I didn’t) and so I had to fork out an extra €200 to upgrade to a different room and pay for late check out (which annoyingly they waived for my friend who stayed there a week beforehand)

Great

I chose the hotel using reviews from other visitors. We were island hopping and wanted four nights in Guadeloupe. I was not dissapointed. The Mahogany Hotel is part of a much bigger complex of four hotels which are part of the Creole Beach Hotel complex in Gosier. It is situated on the Pointe de la Verdure in Gosier. The room was spacious and very clean and included a kitchen out on the balcony. Our room was in a very quiet location; the maids were not knocking on the door early in the morning....
