"Firstly, I must say the staff at reception were lovely. We were upgraded as we had a weekend of celebration. This was a lovely gesture and we really appreciated the effort. However, the rooms are very dated and tired looking. I've stayed in other park plaza hotels and this one didn't feel the same. It felt more like a travelodge room. "I was with the impression that there was an onsite parking for the hotel as it was advertised as with but on arrival I found out that there was none but there is a pay parking close to the hotel (rates a bit pricey for me). Swimming pool was also advertised as part of the booking but was told that on premium booking has free pool access, end up paying £5 per head to use the pool. "Parking not included, have to book and pay using Just Park (limited spaces). Only the gym appears to be free, the pool and spa need to be paid for. Queen room was large with a nice deep bath. The room felt a little tired; minor holes in curtains, carpet not in the best condition, bath robes rough on the skin. Only 3 coffee pods in a room for 2 people which was a bit odd. I was staying alone so it was okay for me. Additional instant coffee on a tray in the cupboard. Toilet roll thin and poor...

"The elevators were out of service, and gad been for a while. The hotel did not share that with people until they arrived. Some of the staff were rude."
