"The front desk personnel at checkout was friendly and incredibly helpful, which was a different experience than we experienced at the front desk the night before. There was an unpleasant odor in the room and the dispenser over the toilet was dirty. The bed appeared clean and was comfortable. The towels were clean also."

"We had a room right off the restaurant area. At around 10:30pm a family arrived and had an upstairs room. For hours they made noise, talking and moving furniture around. And a small child running around and screaming. We could hear everything. We heard water running thru the pipes in our ceiling every time they ran water. There is no noise filter between floors. We had multiple cob webs in our room as well."

"Blinds were extremely dusty and window sill was dirty, the floors were dirty, I wore socks and they got filthy. Bathroom floors were not clean enough also. The rug and room had an odor. Staff was accommodating and very nice and helpful."

"It’s not every day you have the opportunity to stay in accommodations built over 200 years ago! The history of the home was provided in great detail in a binder in our room making our visit that more memorable. Anne and Alan were superb hosts. Their warmth and genuine kindness elevated our stay to a 5 star! Breakfast was amazing in presentation and delicious to our palettes! If we are ever in the area again we will come back to the Pratt Smith House. Ps. I traveled with my 87 year old...
