"It was better than most hotels in Chetumal. They need to upgrade as room looked a little beat up. The pool was nice on the roof."

"The hotel is remote, down a 2km dirt track road. This adds to the relaxation and "switch off" feeling. The property is right on the lagoon, so it is very beautiful and nice to be so close to the water. The kayaks are free to use. However, the hotel has only 1 restaurant and the menu is rather limited. Service was rather slow considering the place never had more than 4 tables for dinner service. Given that there are no other places to eat nearby and no hotel entertainment, evenings can feel a little slow. Our room was large and spacious with a large balcony. At times there was a bad smell coming from the sink, but other than that no complaints. I think this hotel is suited for maybe 2 nights, but we stayed for 4, which in hindsight felt too long. "

"El lugar es muy bonito y la laguna es verdaderamente divina. Sin embargo, el servicio deja mucho que desear. Reservamos con anticipación el traslado al aeropuerto y, un día antes de nuestra llegada, confirmamos si todo estaba listo; para nuestra sorpresa, no tenían registro de nuestra llegada. Además, nos cobraron el servicio de pickup como si fuera en camioneta, pero pasaron por nosotros en un taxi. En el área de la laguna hay muy pocos camastros. Al notar que los de la alberca estaban vacíos, solicitamos si podíamos utilizarlos y nos lo negaron. El servicio de alimentos en la laguna también fue muy deficiente; en una ocasión esperamos hasta dos horas por una cerveza. Al finalizar nuestra estancia, detectamos cargos incorrectos: nos cobraron alimentos más IVA, cuando en el menú se especifica claramente que los precios ya lo incluyen. Asimismo, el tour que contratamos con ellos tuvo un sobrecargo de $2,000 pesos adicionales a lo que previamente nos habían informado. Intentamos aclararlo vía WhatsApp, pero nunca recibimos respuesta. Es un lugar muy lindo, pero está lejos de ofrecer el nivel de servicio que justificaría una Llave Michelin."

"The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were helpful. This hotel has the potential to be terrific, but there were two large problems. First, the Beach Club attached to the hotel plays loud and annoying music day and night. They seem to turn it up louder in the middle of the day in an attempt to attract tourists from the cruise ships. It’s impossible to find a location either by the pool or in the building that is reasonably quiet. Next, there is some kind of issue with the plumbing that creates a lot of noise during the night. I was awakened both nights. "
