"Great hotel , Kathie from the front desk was really nice and welcoming , she walked outside to show us where to find our room, Breakfast is great , a lot of selections , there is a huge “Amor” sign our kids loved it "

"Fifth or sixth time we’ve stayed here over the years. The setting cannot be beat for the serenity and beauty. Much more relaxed than Santa Cruz and Capitola.. First time in the ocean view with the spa tub room. I think I would do that again largely because of the ocean view. That said if you stay in a ground floor unit the noise from above can be pretty annoying"

"This hotel installed portable AC and it is a little noisy. Also, our room has partial view of the sand/beach, but it also means facing the highway 1 & street. It’s noisy due to loud traffic. We’re on the second floor and the people on the 3rd floor have kids running around, it’s super loud. The hotel wall is still thin so it’s very easy to hear noises. We booked 3 nights for our anniversary at this hotel. We drove 6.5 hours to the hotel, feeling exhausted but we couldn’t close our eyes due to the noisy tenants above us. We asked the front desk for help and see if we can move to a different room but they said they don’t have any other room available. I am a light sleeper and I couldn’t sleep for 2 night straight. Due to lack of sleep, I couldn’t function normally and skipped all the fun activities that we planned for our vacation. Thus, we decided to cut our vacation short and check out the very next morning after our second night. We didn’t get refund for our 3rd night but at least we got some rest at home. We visited Monterey several times but we never experienced loud noises in a hotel like this trip. "
