"We had an excellent stay at Villa Excelsior this summer. Christof with staff made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy Bad Gastein. Probably the most friendly and accommodating hotel I have ever been to. Good food, beautiful surroundings, and charming house. Strongly recommend a stay!"

"Booked this property last minute for three nights to do a bit of late-season skiing. The location is ideal - central Flachau for the bars and restaurants and a few minutes walk to the ski lift. A particular benefit was the wellness area - pool, three different saunas, and a lovely warm and quiet relaxation area to chill after a day on the slopes. "

"10 out of 10. We felt so welcome from the minutte we entered the reception. Beautiful hotel, warm atmosphere, cozy, large and clean room. And what a view!!!! A breakfast buffet with everything your heart desires, and very good homemade meals for dinner. Thank you to manager Christoph and his wonderful team. Just had one encounter with one staff who gave me a hard time a day after we checked in questioning me about all 3 reservations I made which I already detailed in an email to them prior to our arrival. "The owner and staff are extremely obliging and helpful. They even went the extra mile to run a shopping errand for me when I realised I'd left some key items at my previous hotel. The food is excellent; delicious, authentic and very filling portions. The dining room setting is lovely and they clearly do everything to maintain the property. They even made a packed breakfast+lunch for us because we had a 4.30am departure to hit a mountain route. Room was very good. The only thing I would hope for is a slightly better pillow. We used the sauna daily and this was very welcome, especially after a tiring day on the mountain."
