"I stayed 4 nights. It was the beginning of September, a terribly hot month in Japan. I had planned to spend the day swimming in the pool, but it was closed on weekdays. I could not swim at all. The size of the room and the view were wonderful."

"Top notch ryokan, highly recommended. Stayed in a Japanese style room, including 2 meals per day, and with shuttle service from the ryokan to the train station. Includes an onsen and massage service as well. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The meals delicious. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice experience while in Kyoto."

"We had a great stay at the house! Obaa-san was very nice and humble, she was very helpful to help us call the taxis to pick us up. The house is located 10-15 minutes walk from Hiezansakamoto station and the best part is, it is just a few steps away from Lake Biwa! You could see sunrise if the weather is great! Plus points: the house is very well-kept and clean. It has the old-style ambience. There is a large bonzai tree infront of Biwako house. Taking a taxi from the nearest...

"Lovely view from our room. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor bath. Buffet breakfast was amazing with a large variety of options. We stayed there for 2 nights and had two different kaiseki meals. We also loved how easy it was to get here from Kyoto station. "
